Fall season has been unbelievable thus far! We have been steadily bending the rods with plenty of fish to go around! Most trips have been very successful, and we have ended them with our snook limit!
Our annual mullet run started off in September this year. The mullet has been all over Indian River Lagoon. People that have experienced the mullet run never forget it because it is a spectacle to see! Mullet (baitfish) get in ginormous schools in shallow water areas in the Indian River Lagoon from Melbourne Beach, south, to Vero Beach. These fish are constantly being blasted by predatorial fish such as snook, trout, redfish, jacks, bluefish, tarpon, and you name it! Nothings better than pulling on big snook and other game fish as you’re watching all the bait getting smashed around you!
Sebastian Inlet has been straight up going off on the snook bite! Lately, most of my boat guests have been going home with a fish! That’s how good it’s been! If you have never caught or eaten a snook, you are missing out! Snook is one of my favorite fish to eat! The only way you can harvest a snook is if you catch it yourself which makes it is a delicacy that doesn’t come around very often! Here is a photo of a recent charter where I had a group of boys and a father of one of the boys. They reached their snook limit and are going home with a full bag of fish!
This concludes my Fall 2024 fishing report by Captain Don! I want to thank everyone this year for booking with me! Also, I still have dates available in November! The fishing has been awesome, and now is the time to book!
